Chief Executive Edmund Ho and the MSAR delegation today (3 April) visited a number of infrastructures, enterprises and tourist spots in the cities of Zhanjiang and Maoming.
The delegation visited the harbor of Zhangjiang and the Economy and Technology Development Zone in the morning. He said that Zhangjing could take up the strategic role between Western Guangdong and even the Western part of China, which is favourable to Macao's development into a platform between Mainland and oversea markets.
The Chief Executive encourages Macao businessmen to seek business opportunities after understanding the investment environment over there. Meanwhile, he also hoped that Macao could serve as a gateway for Zhangjiang.
The delegation visited Maoming in the afternoon where they have visited the tourist spots and facilities. Mr Ho said that Maoming is a modern agricultural city with rich tourist resources. He believed that the business sectors from Macao and Maoming have lots of opportunities in cooperation.
Later in the evening, the delegation attended the banquet hosted by the Provincial and Municipal leaders.
The delegation will visit the city of Yangjiang tomorrow (4 April).
