Macao Officials today (30 April) met with their counterparts in Zhuhai to discuss the implementation of health declaration of visitors and notifying system between the two authorities.
According to a press release from the Health Bureau, the Zhuhai authority had agreed to distribute health declaration form to visitors on behalf of the Macao Health Bureau.
The two authorities also agreed to notify each other on SARS situation on a daily basis as well as to step up on SARS preventions.
As for the two patients staying in the isolation unit in hospital, the bureau noted that they were recovering in stable condition.
Second PCR test result for the 52-year-old man had came out negative, proving that he did not suffered from SARS, noted the bureau.
Over 28,000 people have had their temperature taken at four checkpoints in the 24 hours prior to 16:00 today, respectively 20,178 at the Border Gate, 6,849 at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, 572 at the Macau International Airport and 975 at the Lotus Bridge Checkpoint.
During this period, doctors in the consultation posts at the checkpoints had answered 9 inquiries and one person was sent to hospital for consultation. Meanwhile, 15 patients had been directed to the special emergency room in the Conde S. Januario Hospital, though none of them were sent to the isolation ward.
