Suspected SARS Patient Recovering

A 25-year-old British woman hospitalized earlier this week for suspected SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) was recovering, according to a press release from the Health Bureau today (26 Mar).

According to the press release, recent X-ray images revealed that the infection in the patient’s lungs was diminishing and the patients was relieved from symptoms such as fever and difficult breath today.

These evidence suggested that the patient was suffering from pneumonia caused by viruses that bare no relations to the situation in neighboring regions, although actual cause of her illness was yet to be confirmed, According to the press release.
