The Chief Executive, Mr Chui Sai On, today assured senior citizens that everyone eligible would be included in the Central Savings System.

He said he regret to learn that some have had not been included in the provisional list, and urged them to cast their worries aside.

Speaking to the press after attending a forum on Macao-Taiwan relations, Mr Chui said the Government held senior citizens in very high esteem for their contributions to Macao.

He said the Government would carefully review the arrangement of Central Savings System and urged eligible senior citizens not to worry as a simple declaration of their period of stay would only be required in their application.

The Social Security Fund management is scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday to announce full details of the arrangements.
