The Secretary for Security, Cheong Kuoc Va, at the invitation of the Ministry for Internal Administration of Portugal, will lead a delegation to Lisbon tomorrow (16 September).
Cheong Kuoc Va said that the external visits would be very important to the modernisation of the MSAR forces and the security services. He believed that the Portuguese models with doctrines, tactics and techniques that were easy to assimilate due to the affinities and historical links between Macao and Portugal was a good example for Macao.
Mr. Cheong also said that several protocols would be signed during his visit with related entities, such as the police for public security, the judiciary police, the national school of firemen, and the high institute of police science and internal security with strengthen the bilateral dialogues in the future.
During the visit Mr. Cheong will meet the Minister for Internal Administration and his Secretaries of State. The delegation will visit several services and institutions of the security sector. Cheong Kuoc Va will be present, on the last day of his visit, at a reception hosted by the civil governor of Porto.
The MSAR delegation will be comprised of representatives from the Cabinet of the Secretary, Fire-brigade, and Police for Public Security, Judiciary Police and Academy for Public Security Forces.
