Starting in February, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is launching a series of online learning videos about customer service attitude and technique for tourism industry professionals to learn more about RATER, an international model of service quality assessment and in turn optimize their services.
The series comprises eight learning videos about customer service attitude and technique. Renowned professional trainer and experienced journalist from Hong Kong, Li Chan Wing, will elaborate the topic in the videos specifically for tourism industry professionals, including tour guides and personnel of hotels, catering businesses, retailers and travel agencies. MGTO will launch a new video on its Macao Tourism Industry Net every two weeks from February to May, following the first video posted on 1 February.
With the series of videos, MGTO strives to help industry professionals enhance their service quality through learning about RATER, an international model of service quality assessment, hence gaining a deeper understanding of the attitude, technique, taboos and other considerations in meeting customers’ expectations. The video lessons are conducted in Cantonese with subtitles in Traditional Chinese and English. MGTO also partners with Macau Deaf Association to provide sign language interpretation in the videos, in line with the SAR Government’s scheme to optimize Macao’s urban environment toward greater accessibility, besides widening the audience spectrum of industry training.
Tourism industry professionals and interested parties are welcome to watch the videos for free via the link “Trade Training – Online Course” on MGTO’s Macao Tourism Industry Net ( http://industry.macaotourism.gov.mo ).
In view of the surging prevalence of digital learning, MGTO provides online learning videos enabling industry professionals to keep learning online and growing their expertise at any time and place.
