Two public forums will be held respectively on 16th and 17th November to collect public opinions from different sectors on the reform of Macau's healthcare system.
The forum is organized by RML & Associates, a consultant company which has been contracted by the SAR Government for the assessment on the territory's current healthcare system and studying its reform.
The first forum on the 16th is reserved for medical personnel and professionals, while the second forum on the 17th is open to the general public. The two forums are held at 6:00 p.m. at the Tourist Activities Center.
The consultant company released its draft consultation paper in mid-October. The public consultantion period will end in mid-December.
After gathering public opinion from different sectors, the consultant company will submit a complete review on Macau's healthcare system to the government in mid-February 2001. An ad hoc committee consisted of government officials, medical, legal and financial professions will analyze the report and draft a proposal on the reform of Macau's healthcare system accordingly.
