Chief Executive Edmund Ho Tuesday reaffirmed that investigation on the incident that happened last Saturday in the Jetfoil Terminal would be carried out selflessly.

The Chief Executive said today it is inappropriate to set up an independent investigation considered that a judicial process has been initiated on the incident. He reaffirmed that the internal investigation would be carried out thoroughly and selflessly. He also stressed that any police officers proved to be had abused their authority would be punished according to the law while in contrary, the reputation of the police force should not be damaged.

He also reaffirmed that the SAR Government would strictly safeguard the lawful right of media to information and everyone's basic freedom and rights.

Meanwhile, the Office of Chief Executive had replied to TVB confirmed that the case has been passed to the Public Prosecution Office.
