In view of the latest development of the novel coronavirus pneumonia pandemic, the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region imposed restriction measures for nucleic acid testing on Edf. Mei Lin in Rua de Coelho do Amaral, for precise prevention and control of the disease. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) conducted a survey on residents in the building jointly with the Public Security Police Force and the Social Welfare Bureau to learn about the actual number of residents and their basic needs, so as to initiate nucleic acid screening and supply of daily necessities.
Staff wearing personal protection equipment will go from door to door in small teams to scan the health code of each resident, record information such as the number of residents in each unit, the residents’ contact telephone numbers, the number of elderly residents and residents with special needs, etc. At the same time, they will distribute information to residents about the work arrangements of the various measures implemented during the restriction period and methods of emergency contact. To facilitate smooth registration work, residents are advised to prepare in advance their health codes and the information required for registration. The information collected will only be used for arrangements for residents to undergo nucleic acid screening and provision of food.
Upon completion of registration, each resident will be arranged to undergo sampling of nucleic acid screening in groups and in order. IAM will provide each resident with a two-day emergency food supply kit and hot boxed meals to satisfy the basic needs of the residents.
IAM has completed the large-scale cleaning and disinfection of the public spaces of the mentioned building, and has set up temporary nucleic acid sampling station and frontline coordination station in the prevention and control zone to facilitate the Health Bureau’s initiation of nucleic acid screening and subsequent work.
