The Municipal Affairs Bureau has optimised the system for booking barbecue areas to make it more convenient for the public to make the bookings. The new “Advance booking system for visiting green facilities (Individual)” will be put into use starting from 22 February via which public can book the sessions available on and after 26 February for the use of the barbecue pits, whereas the sessions available on and before 25 February can be booked via the old booking system. Public are advised to pay attention to the new measure.

Starting from 10 a.m. on 22 February, public may log in to the “Advance booking system for visiting green facilities (Individual)” (https://app.iam.gov.mo/gfbooking) to book the barbecue pits in the 3 barbecue areas of Hac Sá Beach Park, Taipa Grande Natural Park and Hac Sá Reservoir Natural Park, for which two sessions each day will be available for applications for bookings. The sessions are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. respectively. Public will need to choose their session, enter phone number or email address in the system to receive a confirmation message. On the scheduled date, the QR code indicating successful booking should be shown for entry. Each phone number or email can only be used once for bookings within 15 days. IAM will remind them through SMS or email one day in advance. The barbecue facilities will be held for the first 30 minutes of the reserved session. Individuals who have made advance bookings must enter the venue by 12 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. according to their sessions on the day of entry, otherwise their quotas will be released automatically.

Currently, the Hac Sá Beach Park, Taipa Grande Natural Park and Hac Sá Reservoir Natural Park provide 80 sets of barbecue pits in total for the public to book and use. For the public to know about the condition of use of each of the barbecue areas, the relevant information will be published on the IAM website www.iam.gov.mo. Public may go to the above-mentioned website for viewing the information. IAM urges public to make good use of public resources and cancel the advance bookings as soon as possible if they cannot use the facilities at the scheduled time, so that the quotas can be released for use by other interested individuals.

In accordance with the disease prevention guidelines issued by the Health Bureau, individuals entering the barbecue areas are required to show their Macao Health Code valid for the day upon entry, have their body temperature measured, wear a face mask and maintain a social distance of at least one metre. Those with a fever or respiratory symptoms will be refused entry. Public are required to comply with the disease prevention guidelines and measures and follow the arrangements of the on-site staff when they use the venues. For enquiries, please call the civic service hotline at 2833 7676.
