Typhoon Saudel is moving westwards across the northern part of the South China Sea. It will move towards the seas south of Hainan. It is expected that Saudel starts to move away, which threats to Macao will gradually diminish.
At the same time, Macao is currently under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the wind speed will remain strong and Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 will remain in effect till dawn. The east to northeasterly winds will remain strong with gusts in the next two days. The temperature will slightly fall and a few light rain patches are expected.
Slight flooding will occur in the Inner Harbour area from now to 4 am due to the astronomical tide. The public is advised to pay attention to the change in weather and the latest information from SMG.
