The Macao Franchise Expo 2020 (2020MFE) will be held at The Venetian Macao from 22 to 24 October. Over the years, MFE has been improving its platform and services, serving as a guide for international franchise brands, and helping participating merchants from around the world find new business opportunities. MFE has helped companies grow their businesses in Southeast Asia and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in recent years. MFE also aims to assist them in becoming more diversified in the markets in the future.

Shantou Chaotian Food Co., Ltd. participated in MFE for the first time in 2019. Mr Wu, Deputy Branding Manager of the company, says that Chaotian aims to promote Chaoshan’s local delicacies and culture with its bestseller beef ball. During last year’s MFE, the company established business contacts with several supermarkets and wholesalers in Macao. It also met many distributors from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on site and developed co-operative relationships with them, laying a solid foundation for the company’s market development in Hong Kong and Macao.

Mr Kurihara, founder and person-in-charge of the famous Japanese ramen brand “Ramen Iroha”, and his company participated in the MFE for the first time last year. He says that the company did not only interest merchants from Macao and Mainland China, but was also invited by enterprises in Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries for co-operation.

Ms Kwan, the person-in-charge of Math Monkey Education Centre from Hong Kong, introduces that the company features interactive educational methods to intrigue children to learn. Through the participation in the previous editions of MFE, the company has received many enquiries from Macao investors. In addition, it has established good communication with some of its counterparts in Zhuhai through the business matching services provided by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and is looking forward to future co-operation.

Mr Tse, Operations Manager of Macao’s local brand “October Fifth Bakery”, indicates that the company began to participate in the MFE with the intention of bringing the local traditional brand out of Macao, and believes they have achieved the expected results and successfully seized opportunities for co-operation with some Mainland enterprises. He hopes that the company will make new breakthroughs by joining the MFE in the coming years.

The 2020MFE will be held concurrently with the “25th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (25th MIF) and the “Portuguese-speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) 2020” (PLPEX) at the same venue.
