World Post Day

To celebrate the World Post Day, Communications Museum will be open to the public free of charge on October 9th, and, on the afternoon that same day, an awards ceremony will be held at the Museum Auditorium to present prizes to the winners of various competitions. 

Science and Arts Activity for Primary Students, 2020

In line with the school development towards STEM, “In search of surrounding sound” will be the general theme of the Science and Arts Activity for Primary Students, organized by the Macao Society of Biomedical Engineering and Communications Museum, in order to encourage primary students to film and upload a short video clip that records the sounds of their daily life, combined with pertaining scientific and interesting facts, as well as their creativity.

Having as topics anything related to “sound”, we suggest participants reveal their creativity in the video clips submitted with the register of sounds, voices or any sound related phenomena encountered in their daily life, presented in lively and interesting ways with the necessary scientific explanation. There are no limits to their method of expression, any form of presentation including experiments, surveys, dramas, documentaries, speeches, debates, interview or any other creative forms are welcomed.

This year, participation in this activity will be divided in Groups A and B, with winners in each category awarded attractive prizes. From 9am on 1/12/2020 to 11.59pm on 30/12/2020, participants can use the museum website for online registration as well as upload their video works through designated link shown in the same website.

Electronic Device Construction Competition, 2021

In order to encourage local secondary school students to employ their theoretical scientific knowledge on practical experiments, the Communications Museum and the IEEE Macao, will organize the Electronic Device Construction Competition 2021. This year the theme is “Tidy Up!”. The online registration can be done at the Museum’s website, from now till 25/10/2021. Full-time students of local secondary schools can compete individually or in teams.  The competition is divided into two categories: Junior Secondary Group and Senior Secondary Group.  Winners of each category will be awarded attractive prizes. Regarding the briefing session, a video file will be uploaded to the museum website starting 6/10/2020 for reference.
