The University of Macau’s (UM) Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme and Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme for the 2020/2021 academic year are now open for applications. The EMBA programme is a newly launched programme for business executives. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until 30 June 2020.

The DBA programme is designed for senior executives who wish to keep up to date with the latest knowledge in business administration and apply that knowledge in their work to create value for their companies in this ever-changing market. The three-year programme features face-to-face lectures on weekends, residential workshops, and a DBA dissertation. Every year, students in the programme will not only have the chance to visit prestigious universities and businesses in Asia, Europe, and North America; they can also exchange ideas with industry practitioners through the residential workshops. The trips are expected to help students broaden their horizons and improve their systemic thinking skills. 95 per cent of the first cohort of students admitted last year are currently working in positions of CEO, director, general manager, business partner, or company secretary in various industries, such as banking and investment, hospitality and gaming, real estate, and manufacturing. They all have rich experience in business administration.

The newly launched EMBA programme is targeted at middle- and senior-level business people in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and beyond, particularly the western part of the area, with a distinctive focus on regional expertise in the GBA within the context of the Belt and Road initiative. The programme covers a wide range of topics and explores questions related to leadership, marketing, international financial management, global business, innovations and technology application. The programme features face-to-face lectures over the weekends, field trips, and project reports. Students will have the chance to visit prestigious companies and exchange ideas with industry leaders through the field trips, which are expected to help broaden their horizons, sharpen their systemic thinking skills, and enhance their leadership capacity.

Scholarships will be available to students admitted to the DBA programme and the EMBA programme, with a maximum of 40 percent tuition fee reduction. Details about online application and the programmes are shown as follows,
