The online registration period for the exchange of the 20th Anniversary of the Return of Sovereignty of Macao banknotes and the four previously issued Zodiac Banknotes will end at 6:00pm on 30 August 2019 (Friday). The Monetary Authority of Macao would like to remind those citizens who are interested in exchanging for the said notes to complete their registration before the mentioned deadline.

The two Issuing Banks have already started accepting the online registration, via the Monetary Authority of Macao webpage, for the mentioned banknotes by Macao residents since 1 August 2019 at 9:00am.  Up until now, the system functions properly and the registration process has been conducted smoothly.   At designated branches of Bank of China and Banco Nacional Ultramarino, assistance will be provided to the elderly for the online registration process.
