The accepted candidate for the Chief Executive Election will give a presentation on Saturday (10 August) to members of the Chief Executive Election Committee, and take part in a question-and-answer session, thereby explaining the candidate’s election platform.
The session, from 10am to 1pm, will be held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome. It is organised by the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election.
The event is held on the day marking the start of the campaigning period. The session is open to all the members of the 400-seat Chief Executive Election Committee with an aim to help them understand better the candidate’s manifesto.
The poll for the Chief Executive Election will be held on 25 August. According to the schedule of the procedures for the Chief Executive Election, the campaigning period runs from midnight on Saturday to 23 August, inclusive.
To be able to enter the Macao East Asian Games Dome and take part in Saturday’s session, members of the Chief Executive Election Committee will have to produce their respective ID card and voting credential, which will also be needed for the members to exercise their right to vote in the 25 August Chief Executive Election.
For those members of the Chief Executive Election Committee that wish to raise a question during Saturday’s session, they may do so by notifying the Electoral Affairs Commission. The order of the questions will be decided by draw.
The Saturday session will be broadcast live on television and radio channels of Macao’s public broadcaster Teledifusão de Macau (TDM).
