The Commission Against Corruption of Macao (CCAC), the Guangdong Provincial Commission of Supervision and the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong (ICAC) had a joint meeting in Guangzhou today (15th May), where the three parties had a discussion on cooperation in integrity building in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The Commissioner Against Corruption, Cheong Weng Chon, the Director of the Guangdong Provincial Commission of Supervision, Shi Kehui and the Commissioner of the ICAC, Peh Yun-lu attended the meeting.

The three parties agreed that they would effectively implement the outline development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and jointly safeguard a corruption-free Greater Bay Area. The three parties also agreed to strengthen exchanges in education and publicity initiatives on probity culture. They will also be dedicated to establishing a clean, healthy, open and transparent government-business relationship, strengthening anti-corruption collaboration, increasing exchange visits and staff trainings and stepping up efforts in combating cross-border corruption.

The three parties also agreed that their representatives would meet regularly to discuss the directions and progress of cooperation.
