AACM approves 80 extra and charter flights to meet Chinese New Year’s demand

  • The Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR has approved a total of 80 extra and charter flights to allow airlines to increase their capacity to meet the air transport demand for the Chinese New Year.

To allow airlines to increase their capacity to meet the demand for air transport for the Chinese Year Year, the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) has approved a total of 80 extra and charter flights to and from mainland China, Taiwan China, Vietnam, Japan and Thailand.

The extra and charter flights just started on 04 February 2018 and will end on 26 February 2018. The operators of these flights are Air Macau, Juneyao Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Sky Flyer Inc. The flights are destined to the following points:

  • Mainland China (51 flights): Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Changzhou, Chengdu and Qingdao
  • Taiwan China (24 flights): Taipei and Kaohsiung
  • Vietnam (2 flights): Danang
  • Japan (2 flights): Osaka and Kokura
  • Thailand (1 flight): Bangkok

The number of flights for this Chinese New Year has doubled compared with last year in which AACM received and approved a total of 40 extra and charter flights.
