The libraries will be open all year round, from 2pm to 12am on Mondays and from 8am to 12am on Tuesdays to Sundays, except on the first, second and third day of Chinese New Year, and after 2pm on Chinese New Year Eve.

The Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, the S. Lourenço Library, the Wong Ieng Kuan Library in Luís de Camões Garden, the Ilha Verde Library, the Mong Há Library, the Wong Ieng Kuan Library in Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Municipal Park, the Wong Ieng Kuan Children’s Library in Areia Preta Urban Park, the Library in Ho Yin Garden and the Wong Ieng Kuan Library in Taipa, will also feature new opening hours from 2pm to 8pm on Mondays and from 8am to 8pm on Tuesdays to Sundays, and will be closed on public holidays and at 2pm on Chinese New Year Eve. The Coloane Library will also open on Sundays, and its daily opening hours will be maintained from 1pm to 7pm. The I.A.C.M. Building Library (specialized library) will remain open from 1pm to 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays.

For those libraries that are open until 12am, only security guards and cleaning staff will be on duty from 8am to 8:30am and after 8pm. Nevertheless, reading services and self-service appliances will be available during those periods of time, while some areas such as the children’s reading area, the multimedia area and the Macao collection area will be temporarily closed.
