The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) has completed inspection and adjustment testing on the footbridge in Avenida Doutor Mário Soares and this footbridge is now officially open for use by the public, which segregates pedestrians and vehicles, provides safe crossing environment for the residents and improves pedestrian crossing facility in the district.
This footbridge was planned and supervised during construction by the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau and was transferred to the IACM in late July, which received it and is responsible for its management. After inspection and adjustment testing, it is officially open for use by the public. The footbridge crosses over the lanes in Avenida Doutor Mário Soares from the pavement outside Edf. Kuan Fat Fa Yuen and connects the opposite pavement outside Finance and IT Center of Macau. There are elevators at both ends of the footbridge for use by the residents who need to use the barrier-free facilities, and the escalators and staircases create a comfortable walking environment.
