Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) held the “Injecting Positive Energy to Excellence Customer Service Workshop” for the retail industry in order to develop positive attitude and harmonious work environment, thus enhancing service quality eventually. Terence K. L. Wong, a cross-media veteran from Hong Kong, was invited to conduct the workshop.

MGTO held the “Injecting Positive Energy to Excellence Customer Service Workshop” today (12 March) for supervisors and managers of the retail industry. The workshop covered topics including “Market analysis and change of the retail industry in Macau”, “Developing positive attitude and harmonious work environment”, “Techniques for dealing with difficult customers”, etc, aiming to enhance customer service quality through the build-up of positive energy. MGTO Deputy Director, Cheng Wai Tong and instructor of the workshop, Terence K. L. Wong presented Certificate of Attendance to the participants.

Terence K. L. Wong holds a PhD degree in Management from the University of California, Los Angeles and is also a cross-media veteran with over 30 years of work experience in the media sector. In addition to working for the media sector, he is also engaged in training professionals and has provided training to a number of governmental entities and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.

MGTO has been working closely with industry partners and training institutes to organize different kinds of training opportunities not only for travel agencies, tour guides and hotel industry, but also for retail and catering sectors, public transport service, etc. MGTO will continue to support the tourism industry and related sectors to enhance tourism service quality in line with the positioning of Macau towards a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.
