Data collection of the 2011 Population Census will be conducted from 12 to 26 August 2011. The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) has officially launched the 2011 Population Census website http://censos.dsec.gov.mo on the occasion of the 100-day countdown to the start of the Census.

The 2011 Population Census website provides rich and informative content, including history of past censuses of Macao, important notes to Census respondents, media’s corner, online recruitment, as well as the frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Population Census, etc. Moreover, the Census website will be constantly updated with latest news, notices, upcoming events, etc. about the Census.

In addition, recruitment of temporary staff, online application only, for the 2011 Population Census continues and the deadline for application will end on 17 June. All Macao permanent residents (including overseas students) aged 18 before 1 July 2011, with secondary education or higher, are eligible. Just browse the 2011 Population Census website, register and pass the simple online quiz, then schedule an interview. DSEC is going to host recruitment seminars at local universities to encourage participation of more students to join the Census team. Please check the Census website for details on recruitment.
