In his Lunar New Year Message today, Chief Executive Mr Chui Sai On said the Government would continue to promote economic expansion, enhance the livelihood of the people and build Macao an even better place together with the people of Macao.

In reminiscence of the Year of the Tiger, Mr Chui said Macao had made achievements in propelling a swift recovery in economy and in ensuring social stability.

The Government would continue to bring and share the gains among the people.

In these joyful days, we have to care and help socially vulnerable groups and share our happiness with them, he said.

Mr Chui also thanked civil servants and people who had to work over the holidays, and he wished everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
