Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ao Man Long yesterday (9 September) signed two protocols in aviation and public works with the Minister for Public Works, Transports and Housing of Portugal in Lisboa to reinforce the cooperation and interchange in these two specific areas.
In line with the protocol concerning public works, MSAR and Portugal would exchange information and documents regarding science and technology/; to hold training courses in management for repairing the facilities of sport stadiums of international standard and to provide training and practice for technicians. The protocol for aviation strengthens the bilateral cooperation in legislations, training and studies in civil aviation.
During the official visit to Portugal, Mr. Ao met with several high ranking official including the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Co-operation, Antó/;nio Manuel Lourenç/;o dos Santos, the Minister for Public Works, Transports and Housing and the Secretary of State for Public Works.
In the meetings, Mr. Ao had expressed that Macao was willing to further cooperate with Portugal in trade and culture. Meanwhile, he also introduced new projects including third Macao-Taipa Bridge and the stadium for 2005 East Asia Games, adding that the MSAR Government welcomes all the Portuguese companies to participate in investment and construction of the projects in Macau.
