Secretary for Security leads delegation to Beijing and Xinjiang

At the invitation of the Mainland security department, the Secretary for Security, Cheong Kuoc Va, today (23 August) led an official delegation to Beijing and Xinjiang.

The delegation was scheduled to meet with leaders from the public security departments in order to learn about the daily operations and to be made aware of the social order of the two territories. The delegates will visit several security departments and facilities.

After the establishment of the MSAR, the public order of Macao has remained stable due to contact and cooperation between the security departments in Macao and the Mainland. In order to meet future needs and in order to have a better understanding of Western China, the delegation will visit Xinjiang after a short visit to Beijing.

The delegates include the Commissioner General of the Unitary Police Service, José/; Proenç/;a Branco, the Director of the Judiciary Police, Wong Sio Chak, and the Acting-commander of the Public Security Police.
