Chief Executive expressed the SAR Government's devotion to promote cooperation between Macao and Inner Mongolia in Economy, Tourism and Culture.

In the second day of his visit in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chief Executive Edmund Ho met with the press this afternoon (7 Aug) following his meeting with the Chairman Uyunnqin and a series of visits.

The Chief Executive reaffirm the initiative to take reference of the China-Russia border manufacture and trade zone for the establishment of the bond zone between Macao and Zhuhai.

The Chief Executive also expressed the initiative to establish a trading point on the China Russia Border, with the support of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Regional Government, for the exporting products of Macao to Russia and Eastern Europe.

He said that these measures would help maintaining the industrial diversity of Macao Economy.

He also said that through the visit and the future cooperation of enterprises Of Macao and Inner Mongolia, Macao could learn from the experience of Inner Mongolia's technology development in the past decade.

He also hoped that cooperation in Culture and Tourism could be promoted, saying that the SAR Government has suggested that a series of exhibition about Inner Mongolia be held in Macao at the end of this year.

The Chief Executive also said that the SAR Government would support the initiative of the Macao enterprises to find opportunities in Western China, and through which opening new markets in Russia and other countries. Meanwhile, he also hoped that Macao could be a platform for enterprises in Inner Mongolia to enter the Markets of Europe and Portuguese speaking countries.

Edmund Ho also said that the enthusiasm and warmth of the people of Inner Mongolia and the development of the Autonomous Region is impressing.
