The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Chui Sai On, said today (29 June) that the Convention and Exhibition Study and Information Center would be established under the Government Tourist Office to facilitate Macao,'s development into a gaming, tourism and convention destination.

Mr. Chui said that the Center would provide crucial information for studying the future development of Macao.

¡§Aside from the Center, the authority initiated a series of projects including the establishment of a bachelor degree program in gaming management at the University of Macao (UMAC), said Mr. Chui.

He revealed that a protocol had been signed between UMAC and two universities in Nevada, allowing UMAC to invite professors from Nevada to teach in Macao, and to send professors in Macao to Nevada for further study in related fields.
