The official result of the 2001 Legislative Election is published on the 41st SAR Gazette Monday, after verified by the Court of Final Appeal.

The result indicated that 83,644 voters (52.34% of the registered voters) had cast votes, of which 80,978 votes were valid/; 2,116 were invalid and 550 were blank.

According to the verified result, directly returned members of the second Legislative Assembly are:
