The “Fields of Purple Blossoms” Winter Flower Show, staged by the Municipal Affairs Bureau, is bringing a romantic mood to the vicinity of Avenida da Praia in Taipa.

The dreamlike sea of flowers around Taipa Houses features approximately 30,000 pots of various purple-petalled plants in full blossom.

The purple varieties in the exhibition include lavender, Salvia superba, Chinese larkspur, and types of lupin.

The Winter Flower Show has three themed zones: “sail-off”; “expedition”; and “integration”. They aim to lead visitors on a journey of imagination reflecting the city’s unique history and Chinese-Portuguese cultural fusion, as well as the beauty of Macao’s natural surroundings.

The “ Fields of Purple Blossoms” Winter Flower Show runs until 4 January inclusive. All are invited to seize a final chance for a visit to this spectacle to mark joyfully the arrival of 2026.
