  • “For National Liberation and World Peace – Thematic Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War” is currently being held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex. The exhibition runs until 24 September.

  • The exhibition is organised by the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government and supported by the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Its theme is “Remembering History, Honouring Martyrs, Cherishing Peace, and Creating a Great Future”.

  • Through rare historical photographs and archival footage, the exhibition vividly chronicles the valiant chapters of the Chinese people’s resistance during the war. It enables members of the public, particularly younger generations, to gain a deeper understanding of the great significance of the victory in the War of Resistance, and of carrying forward the nation’s unyielding spirit.

  • The exhibition is divided into six sections, comprehensively covering the 14 years of the War of Resistance (1931-1945). It highlights the unwavering solidarity of Macao people with Chinese compatriots during the conflict, as well as their shared heritage.

  • To date, the exhibition has attracted more than 20,000 visitors, who have paid tribute to the martyrs of the War of Resistance and helped perpetuate the spirit of resistance and patriotism of the Chinese people.

  • The exhibition provides a platform for students and young people to deepen their understanding of the past and strengthen their sense of patriotism. It also reinforces their sense of responsibility and historical mission, encouraging them to learn from history and cherish peace.
