Representatives of relevant Government departments brief reporters at the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Macao-Zhuhai Bridge regarding the procedures and arrangements of the “Mutual Use of QR Code between HKSAR and Macao SAR Clearance Service”.

Under the new measure, Macao residents aged 11 or above holding a Macao permanent ID who have successfully registered for using the automated immigration clearance service in Hong Kong are eligible for the service. They need to first bind an electronic identity at the Macao One Account platform. Before crossing the boundary, generate a QR code via “My Border Crossing” of the Macao One Account and use e-Channels to enter Hong Kong.
