  • The Macao Light Festival 2020, this year themed “Light Carnival”, features an exuberant display of light mapping shows and installations, spread across the city. One of the four designated thematic routes, dubbed “Circus”, covers Our Lady of Fatima Parish.

  • A “Pirate Ship” light installation is set up at Areia Preta Urban Park, in Our Lady of Fatima Parish. The park also features interactive games and illuminations in animal patterns, recreating a circus-like experience for audiences.

  • “Candy Kingdom” is the theme for the light installations at Nam Van and Sai Van Districts. Colourful illuminations resembling sweet delights dazzle festivalgoers and fill the area with a sense of sweetness.

  • A light installation dubbed “Seascape under the Stars" is set up at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre.

  • During the Macao Light Festival 2020, members of the public can enjoy an number of interactive games available at several locations. “Dance with Bubbles”, at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre, allows the audience to walk into a ring of rainbows and be surrounded by bubbles. “Conjuring up Music”, at Taipa Village, uses “virtual musical notes” to entertain the public.

  • Macao Tourism Mascot MAK MAK, clad in various costumes, pops up to accompany locals and visitors to the city as they follow the Light Festival routes – including at a chess board installation at Tap Seac Square. For the first time, the festival is lighting up the area with a mapping show projected onto four historic façades in the square. The show paints strokes of light on the magnificent canvas, expressing colours in various shades and various styles of art.

  • The route featuring Tap Seac Square – covering St. Lazarus Parish and St. Anthony Parish – is dubbed “Time Tunnel”. It allows the public to “travel in time” by using a number of light installations.

  • The Macao Light Festival 2020 – and its meticulously-designed, glittering light installations – is lighting up Macao’s urban nightscape until the end of October. It helps to promote to tourists and the Macao public the city’s unique culture.

  • The Macao Light Festival 2020 is staged each night from 7pm to 10pm, until 31 October. At the “Morning Glory Paradise” installation, at Taipa Village, festivalgoers can enjoy a symphony of light and music.
