Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be held from 16 to 18 April and from 23 to 25 April at Tap Siac Square. The call for proposals of stall operators is open from 26 January and interested parties are welcome to apply.
Inaugurated in 2008, the “Tap Siac Craft Market” has been a platform for cultural and creative practitioners to display and sell their products, and has become a distinctive brand in the cultural and creative market in Macao. To ensure effective epidemic prevention, the number of stalls in the upcoming “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be the same as that of November last year. There will be 110 handicraft and creative gastronomy stalls, which will showcase a diverse range of creative products by cultural and creative practitioners from Macao and Mainland China. Concurrently, creative handicraft workshops and music performances will be held.
Applications for stall operators are open from 10am on 26 January until 11:59pm on 23 February, and are free of charge. Local stall applicants may apply online through the “Tap Siac Craft Market” website at www.craftmarket.gov.mo. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the quota, IC will select the proposals of stall operators by drawing lots. Details of the call for proposals of creative handicraft workshops will be announced in due course.
IC will continue to pay close attention to the development of the outbreak, follow the relevant guidelines of the Health Bureau, and make appropriate arrangements for these activities. For enquiries, please contact Ms. Zhou, staff member of IC, through tel. no. 8399 6289 during office hours.
