The tropical depression over the northern part of the South China Sea intensified to tropical storm “Nangka”, and moving west-northwest towards Hainan Island. Under the accompanied effect of “Nangka” and Northeast monsoon, the weather in Macao will be unstable between 12th nighttime and 14th. Winds in Macao will intensify, reaching wind scale level 5 to 7, with gusts. Heavy showers and strong winds are expected. Under the influence of the Storm Surge and heavy showers, there will be flooding in the Inner Harbor area tomorrow morning, between 4 am and 9 am, and the highest flooding level of around 0.4 meters is expected. The public is advised to take preventive measures against the wind, flooding and rainstorm ahead of time, and pay close attention to the latest weather news of SMG.
