The Macao Museum under the Cultural Affairs Bureau will carry out a large-scale annual maintenance project in October. The Museum will be therefore temporarily closed between 12 and 14 October. During the maintenance period, certain exhibition areas will reopen gradually to the public from 15 October (Thursday), tourists and residents are welcome to visit.

The Macao Museum receives numerous visitors every year and the facilities are used frequently. In addition to the general maintenance works, the Museum has to carry out timely maintenance and restoration works on an annual basis to ensure a high quality service and good condition of the facilities. During the maintenance period, the Mount Fortress Garden will remain open from 7am to 7pm and the public may access it from the South Gate of the Mount Fortress.
