In response to the most recent situation of the novel coronavirus infection (Covid-19), the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) has announced a ban on all non-resident individuals from entering Macao, excluding residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Taiwan region, as well as work permit holders starting from 00:00 on March 18, 2020.

At the same time, the Hong Kong SAR Government has also announced medical observation and quarantine measures for all individuals who have been in any country or region outside Mainland China, Macao or the Taiwan region in the 14 days prior to their entry starting from March 19, 2020.

In order to organize the return arrangements of Macao residents arriving via Hong Kong for entry facilitation and medical observation in Macao,  the Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) and the Higher Education Bureau (DSES) urges Macao residents who have been in foreign countries in the 14 days prior to their entry, and who already have valid return flight tickets via Hong Kong International Airport and scheduled to arrive between the 19th and 31st of March to register through the website https://aeees.dses.gov.mo/HKMAC/

Those who would like to register should complete their registration 16 hours before arrival in Hong Kong. In case of any adjustment relating to their itinerary, they should contact the Higher Education Bureau (DSES) between 09:00 until 21:00 (Macau time) by telephone no. (853) 8396-9233 or send an email to hkmac@dses.gov.mo
