Assistant Commissioner Leong Heng Hong of Public Security Police Force (PSP) assumed office as Deputy Commissioner on 8 October. The inauguration ceremony, which was held at the PSP Headquarters in the morning, was officiated by Commissioner Leong Man Cheong and witnessed by heads of various departments.

After completing the 2nd Senior Police Officer Training Programme organized by the Academy of Public Security Forces in 1996, Deputy Commissioner Leong Heng Hong served as division head of the Macao Police Department, the Tactical Police Unit, the Islands Police Department and the Logistic Support and Services Division.  In addition, he held various positions including Principal of the Police School, Assistant to Commander of the Tactical Police Unit, Head of the Intelligence Department and later became Head of the Operational Planning Department.  Mr Leong has served as Acting Deputy Commissioner of PSP since 1 May this year.

With his extensive policing experience and professional knowledge, Deputy Commissioner Leong Heng Hong has served the Force conscientiously over the years. He has been promoted and awarded commendations repeatedly for his outstanding work performance and excellent leadership.
