Given the recent weather conditions in the United Kingdom, the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom has issued an alert to Chinese citizens in that country. Following is the translated version of the full text:

“Transport and travels affected by heavy snow in the United Kingdom

2017/12/11

The recent heavy snowfall in several regions of the United Kingdom has been affecting in different degrees flights, railway and metro connections.

The Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom alerts Chinese citizens that are traveling in that country to be aware of local weather changes and check for updated weather conditions as well as warnings from the official website of the British meteorological office (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/).

At the same time, stay alert to updated information issued at the Heathrow Airport (https://www.heathrow.com/) and Transport For London (https://tfl.gov.uk/) websites, consider the impact that the snow may cause to the trip, plan the trip reasonably in advance, pay attention to traffic safety when driving and avoid any risk or danger.
