Exhibition “Debris - Works by Alexandre Farto aka Vhils” ends earlier due to the typhoon’s impact

Due to the impact of typhoon “Hato”, the facilities and exhibitions at the Navy Yard No. 1 - Contemporary Art Center, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, have been affected and are temporarily closed to the public since the second day after the typhoon. Therefore the exhibition “Debris - Works by Alexandre Farto aka Vhils” closed earlier than predicted. The exhibition also featured works created in public spaces, among which a mural in the Macao Portuguese School which collapsed due to the typhoon, another mural inside the same school, a mural on an external wall located at No. 1 Rua Direita Carlos Eugénio in Taipa and a mural in an external wall located at Rua dos Clérigos in Old Taipa Village, which can still be appreciated by the public; in particular, the mural at Rua dos Clérigos can be seen until 15 October.

In order to rehabilitate and repair the facilities damaged by the typhoon as soon as possible, the Navy Yard No.1 - Contemporary Art Center will remain closed to the public until further notice. For further enquiries, please call IC through tel. no. 8988 4000, during office hours.
