The Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) is paying close attention to the earthquake that occurred today in Hokkaido, Japan, and maintaining close contact with the Macao travel industry for further developments.

From the preliminary information gathered through the Macao travel industry, currently there are 20 to 30 Macao residents in Hokkaido which after being contacted confirmed that they had not been affected.

Until the present moment, GGCT has not received any request for information or assistance.
