Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Mr Raimundo do Rosário, said the Government considered to modify the construction plan of public housing in Tamagnini Barbosa area (Toi San) before resuming its construction.

This modification involved changing its three-basement design into one only or into none, the Secretary told the press after attending a phone-in radio program on 19 August.

The Government is closely monitoring the construction of public housing, there were several projects ongoing, while two in Toi San and Mong Ha were suspended, said Mr Raimundo Rosário.

He also revealed that the project in Mong Ha would be carried out after reaching consensus with the contractor.

The Secretary disclosed the Government would consider to revise the Home-Ownership Scheme, including more penalties for those who used the units for other purposes.
