This year, the 2014 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2014MIECF) attracted the participation of more than 430 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions. Some exhibitors agreed that MIECF is an effective and ideal platform for exchange and co-operation, and facilitates their business expansion to other markets. On the second day of the event, a total of 396 green matching sessions and three Environmental Industry Networking Meetings were held.

Mr. Chan, a third-time MIECF exhibitor from Hong Kong, agent of high-temperature gas filters, said that he intends to promote his company´s products in Macao. According to Mr. Chan, this type of product is ideal for dust filtration and regeneration at high temperature, around 1600 degrees Celsius. He explained that, this new technology has been rather common in Europe in recent years, but still relatively new in Asia, and therefore he plans to make use of the MIECF platform to introduce it to Mainland China and other parts of Asia.

Talking about his experience in the previous two MIECF, Mr. Chan said that the outcome was favourable. Other than the launch of co-operation projects, he has also received enquiries and established contacts with other enterprises. He agreed that MIECF can line up products and buyers of environmental products and is therefore an excellent networking and co-operation platform. He will participate in the event again next year, to avail of the MIECF’s promotion and publicity of environmentally friendly products to further develop his business.

A first-time exhibitor from Taiwan promoted their product, a high-tech urinal. Ms. Wei, manager of the company said that this type of urinal represents a new technology to properly handle and treat excreta without the use of water. It is therefore environmentally friendly and hygienic, and particularly suitable for use in places with massive people flow. The company is seeking agents in Macao, Hong Kong and Mainland China for their products through the MIECF platform.

A Portuguese engineering services company, making its debut as an exhibitor, intended to develop business in Mainland China and is seeking co-operation partners through MIECF.

On the second day of MIECF, the Organiser conducted a total of 396 green business sessions and three Environmental Industry Networking Meetings (with the participation of 4 organisations).
