The Draw Ceremony for Safe Driving Award Program, organized jointly by Public Security Police Force, Transport Bureau, Legal Affairs Bureau and Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, was held yesterday where 1579 winners were drawn.
The Safe Driving Award Program was designed to tie in with the entry into force of the Road Traffic Law on 1 October, 2007 and to encourage the public concern about the traffic laws, to improve drivers’ safety awareness, to protect the personal safety of the public and to create a harmonious traffic culture.
Attractive prizes for the Program are offered. The winner of the 1st prize will be awarded 30,000 patacas in cash, the winners of the 2nd prize (3 winners) will be awarded 20,000 patacas in cash, the winners of the 3rd prize (5 winners) will be awarded 10,000 patacas in cash, the winners of the 4th prize (20 winners) will be awarded a coupon for vehicle cleaning service valued at 2,000 patacas, the winners of the 5th prize (50 winners) will be awarded a coupon for vehicle cleaning service valued at 1,000 patacas, the winners of the 6th prize (100 winners) will be awarded a petrol coupon valued at 800 patacas, the winners of the 7th prize (200 winners) will be awarded a petrol coupon valued at 500 patacas, the winners of the 8th prize (300 winners) will be awarded a prepaid card for parking facilities valued at 300 patacas, the winners of the 9th prize (400 winners) a prepaid card for parking facilities in the value of 200 patacas and the winners of the 10th prize (500 winners) a prepaid card for parking facilities valued at of 100 patacas.
According to the data of Public Security Police Force, among all the participants 3,400 had not been charged with any traffic offense in 2008 and thus, met the requirements to be drawn.
Leong Pou Ieng, Deputy Director of Legal Affairs Bureau, Ma Io Kun, Deputy Director of Public Security Police Force, Chiang Ngoc Vai, Deputy Director of Transport Bureau, and Lo Veng Tak, Administrator of Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, made the big draw yesterday at S. Domingos Activity Center.
