The Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, is in Beijing to attend tomorrow’s opening of the Second Plenary Session of the Eleventh National People's Congress.
Speaking to the press before his noon departure, Mr Ho said he might meet the Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Mr Wang Yang, during his stay in the capital and discuss further co-operation between Macao and Guangdong.
Recently, various co-operation mechanisms between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao had maintained frequent exchanges, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project had moved forward smoothly too, he said.
Asked for comments on Macao police’s decision to refuse entry to some Hong Kong residents, Mr Ho said he believed the Macao police had acted in accordance with the law and the decision had no correlation with the legislation of the National Security Law.
