SAR Government arranges charter flight to take back
Macao residents stranded in Thailand

The Macao SAR Government has arranged a charter flight to depart from Thailand at 2 pm (Thai local time) tomorrow (Nov 29) to take back Macao residents stranded there.

The Outbound Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCTE) held a meeting this morning (Nov 28) to discuss plans to assist Macao residents stranded in Thailand, including sending charter flight to take them back to Macao. After the meeting, GGCTE announced that the SAR government has rented an A-321 airbus from Air Macau, which will depart from U-Tapao Airport from Thailand at 2 pm (Thai local time in Thailand) tomorrow (Nov 29) to take back stranded Macao residents. Related charge for the charter flight will be paid by the SAR Government.

Up to press time, GGCTE has contacted some 120 visitors from six Macao tour groups and their respective travel agencies will assist them to travel from Bangkok to U-Tapao Airport.

Macao residents traveling in Thailand individually are requested to call 081-8041788 or 081-7925107 in Thailand or (66) 81-8041788 or (66) 81-7925107 from overseas; or MGTO’s hotline at 2833 3000 as soon as possible to confirm booking and arrangement back to Macao. As it will take time to travel to U-Tapao Airport, after confirming the booking, Macao residents are requested to gather at the address below before 7:30am (Thai local time in Thailand) tomorrow (Nov 29) for transportation to U-Tapao Airport.
