The Security Authority pointed out that a number of Hong Kong newspapers have made baseless reports today (15 Feb) concerning a number of cases that happened in Macao before the handover, and is disappointed about such reports being based only on allegations.

The Security Authority reiterated that the police forces of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have close cooperative mechanisms that are functioning well. Among which is the sixth Guangdong Macao Police Meeting scheduled to be held in Macao on 20 Feb, when cooperation in fighting cross-border crime will be discussed.
