The Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mr. Li Ruihuan attended the 90th anniversary celebration of the Macao Chamber of Commerce in the second day of his visit in the SAR today.
Accompanied by the Chief Executive, Edmund Ho, Li Ruihuan visited the Macao Tower, where he was asked about the role of Macao and Hong Kong in the integration of the Pearl River Delta, and responded by reaffirming that the roles of the two SARs are irreplaceable.
He also said that he had a very good impression about Macao.
Li Ruihuan also met with the leaders of the Macao Chamber of Commerce and a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs from the mainland and abroad.
In the afternoon, Li Ruihuan visited several tourist spots in the peninsular, including the Golden Lotus Square, the exhibition “Auspicious Treasures for Macao’s Return to the Motherland” at the Macao Forum, the Wine Museum and the Grand Prix Museum before attending a banquet hosted by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the MASR.
In the evening, Li Ruihuan attended a cultural performance at the Cultural Center.
