Shenzhen and Macau could development a mutual economic relationship, Macau SAR Chief Executive Edmund Ho said in the meeting with Zhang Gaoli, vice-secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on 15 November.

Ho congratulated on the 20th anniversary of the founding of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. He pointed out that, after Handover, Macau SAR government maintains a good relationship with Shenzhen government, providing a good condition for economic co-operations between the two regions.

Ho added that Shenzhen has achieved rapid development in the high-tech industry, in which Macau is hoping to strengthen co-operation with Shenzhen.

Zhang Gaoli thanked Ho for his visit, and praised Ho for setting up the right policy for Macau, making it a more prosperous and stabilized city. He added that Shenzhen would do the best to help Macau in development of high-tech industry.
