Chief Executive Edmund Ho started his five-day visit to Inner Mongolia today, seeking cooperation in economy, trades, tourism and culture between the two regions.
The Chief Executive and the delegation were received by the vice-chairman of the Autonomous Region, Niu Yuru upon arrival at the Hohhot Airport.
Chief Executive Edmund Ho started his visit by meeting the Secretary of the Regional Committee of the CPC, Chu Bo.
Chu Bo welcomed the Chief Executive and the delegation, saying that the visit would deepen Macao businessmen's cognition in Inner Mongolia.
The Chief Executive said that the visit would help to build a strong foundation for economic cooperation between Macao and Inner Mongolia. He also hopes that the Macao Businessmen could find opportunities there.
The Chief Executive and the delegation later attended a banquet hosted by the leaders of the Autonomous Region.
The Chief Executive and the delegation were scheduled to meet with the Chairman of the Regional People's Government, Uyunnqing tomorrow (7 Aug) after a series of visits in the morning.
Before departing Macao this morning, Chief Executive Edmund Ho said that during their stay in Inner Mongolia, the delegation would visit the China-Russia border trade Zone which could serve as a useful reference in developing the bond-zones between Macao and Zhuhai in Gongbei and Hengqing.
