The Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ao Man Long, will visit Las Vegas and San Francisco to look at the procedures for avaluating large-scale construction projects.

Secretary Ao, accompanied by officials from the Transport and Public Works Bureau and the Fire Brigade, will meet with representatives from government departments responsible for public works, planning, transportation and fire fighting.

The delegation will also visit major infrastructure sites such as casinos and tourist spots.

Following the liberalization of the gaming industry in Macao, more large-scale construction projects are expected to be built in the SAR. The visit is expected to enhance local officials'know-how in evaluating the up-coming projects.
